No, it’s not my Spidey-sense — it’s the need for speed. Or danger. Or stuff blowing up. I’m trying to amp it up in Trust. I’m not a Dan-Brown-type, throwing in killer albinos every other chapter, but I have decided that I can kick it up a notch from Faith.

I’ve been looking at some of my fave writers lately in the genre to suss out what their arcs are, but I believe I have a pretty good feel for the chapter balance; it’s more a question of writing the actual pulse-quickening scenes, the actual action, while staying true to the characters.

Maybe I could go with some killer-albino-pygmies.
